The picture on your website doesn't match the front of your building!

We know! The picture of the blue house on the website is of a little house in Ireland....its super cute and we really like it so its staying :)

I've never been for a massage before. What can I expect?

First off, how exciting!! We come across a lot of people new to massage and are thrilled to chat with you about what a typical treatment looks like. We pride ourselves on addressing each patient and their personal situation with professionalism and confidentiality. After the intake form has been filled out, either online or in person, you will be escorted in to a treatment room, the door will be closed, and we will begin a short interview. Once the reason for your appointment has been established, your therapist will give you a rundown of what your treatment will look like, instruct you on how to lay on the table, and leave the room. It is our pleasure to answer any questions that might pop up during either the interview or treatment, so please ask. Don’t forget, this is your treatment.

I’m still nervous … do i have to be … naked?

Gosh no! That is absolutely your call! Prior to leaving the room, your therapist will let you know to what level of undress will be ideal for the treatment, but of course, that is ultimately up to you. As you can imagine, the more access to your skin, the more techniques are available for us to use. Once again, completely up to you though. During the treatment you will be under a sheet. One at a time, only the areas being worked on will be undraped. Have we stressed it enough? Your body, your treatment. However, if hopping under the sheet in your birthday suit suits you best, go for it!

Are you offering prenatal massage?

Absolutely! We actually have very comfortable pregnancy cushions that allow you to lay on your stomach again. Yay!

Do you direct bill?

You bet! We direct bill to most major insurance companies. If you’re concerned, just shoot us a quick email and we’ll happily confirm.

What about direct billing to ICBC?

Unfortunately, we aren’t billing to ICBC at this time, but we can definitely provide you with a receipt after treatment.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

We sure are! There is a large ramp leading up to the front door for your convenience.

Massage, physio, chiro … how do I decide?

Honestly it’s different for every person and sometimes every situation. All of these modalities work excellent on their own and as compliments to eachother. We strongly believe your health is most important. If seeking out different modalities will increase your overall wellness we are happy to work with and also refer you to other practitioners in the community.

How often do I come?

This also differs from person to person. A treatment schedule will be discussed with your therapist to address your individual needs.

How long should i book my appointment for?

This all depends on what you’re looking for. An initial visit should be 60/75 minutes so an interview and any assessment required can happen while still allowing you to enjoy lots of hands on time. On the other hand, we find that 30/45 minutes is plenty of time for subsequent treatment on one focus area. 75/90 minute appointments are great when you have a few areas of concern you would like addressed. And if you’re looking for general maintenance, 60/75 minutes is the perfect amount of time to check out and recharge.

Do you have evening appointments?

Of course! They do get snapped up quickly, so be sure to book in as soon as you can.

How about weekend appointments?

Sometimes we do! These do get snapped up quickly as well, so be sure to book in as soon as you can when you see them open up on our schedules.

Do you have a waitlist in case I can't find a time that works for me?

We sure do! To find the wait list, scroll down to the bottom of the booking calendar (click here!) once you have selected a treatment or a therapist and you will see the link that says “Can’t find a time? Add yourself to the wait list.” . From there you can select the days and times that you like so we will know when you are available and then we can let you know if we have an spot open up.

What if I can’t make my appointment?

Letting us know as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. We’d love to have the spot available for other patients if you don’t need it. Because of this, we do enforce a 24 hour cancellation policy.

Email isn’t really for me. Can I call and speak to your receptionist?

Short answer. No. But, you can talk directly to one of our massage therapists! We take care of all reception needs ourselves. Please leave a message and we’ll return your call as promptly as we can. We thoroughly appreciate your patience while we’re treating other patients and please know that we are eager to speak with you.
